Hall of Fame inducts 11 new members

Hagerstown Community College’s Hawk Booster Club recently held its annual Irv Easterday Golf Tournament and Hawk Booster Club Hall of Fame Banquet, on Mon., June 29, at the Beaver Creek Country Club.

At the banquet, 11 new members were inducted into the HCC Hall of Fame. New members included Barron Burks and Wendell Henry, both of whom played for HCC more than 25 years ago; Keith Hess, who was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award; Jeff Sensenbaugh, owner of Rocky’s Pizza in College Plaza, who was presented with the award for Business Person of the Year; Mona and Lee Adkins, of the Hawk Booster Club; former HCC basketball players Tia Ferguson, Patrick Lee, and Contrell Scott; and former track and field athletes Michele Mathsen and Rick White.

Hall of Fame inductees were each presented with a commemorative plaque highlighting their athletic and volunteer services for HCC. Robert “Bo” Myers, director of athletics and leisure studies served as the master of ceremonies at the event. He was joined by Hawk Booster Club President Rick Toms.
