Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 8:21am
Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education is offering a one-day “Beginning Bluegrass Jamming,” workshop on Sat., Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on HCC’s main campus.
Taught by HCC instructor Ernie Bradley, the workshop will begin with a beginner’s jam session and introduction of songs. Students will then attend breakout sessions for banjo, guitar and dobro, or mandolin and fiddle to develop breaks and fillers for their instruments. A light lunch will be provided and students will reconvene to jam as a group for the remainder of the afternoon. Cost is $69.
For more information or to register, call 301-790-2800, ext. 236, or go to www.hagerstowncc.edu/coned.
