Free Concert to Benefit Humane Society of Washington County

Like music and helping animals? The two combine on Feb. 27, 2010 at the All the Good Things Concert to benefit the Humane Society of Washington County (HSWC). The concert is hosted by students in Professional Loretta Thornhill’s Legal Environment of Business Class at Hagerstown Community College (HCC). The concert is free, but a donation for the HSWC is required for entry. This free concert features indie music bands OneAcChord and Sky Solo and will start at 8 p.m. at the HCC’s Kepler Theater. Donations accepted include items like pet toys, treats, food, blankets, towels, and office supplies. A complete list of needed items can be found at www.hswcmd.org.

“Due to the economy, we wanted the event to have a no money theme so more people would be able to attend and ultimately help more animals,” said group spokesperson Marcie Rhoads. Other group members include Corteney Call, Mayra Ugaz, Brett Rosenthal, Jarrad Spangler, Roberto Torres, Austin Ugorji, Steven Weissfuss, Brenton Welty.
