HCC expands non-credit language offerings

Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education is now offering a variety of non-credit language courses geared towards those planning a trip to a foreign country, trying to brush up on older language skills, or improve language skills for the workplace.

Courses are now offered in a variety of languages including Spanish, French, German, and Russian. General beginning level courses are offered in all four languages and specific trip-oriented courses to Italy, Latin America, and France are also available. New courses this spring include “Spanish for Missions—Crash Course” on March 19, which provides students with everyday Spanish they need for volunteer and mission work in Spanish-speaking countries, as well as “Planning A Trip to France” on Wednesdays from March 10 through March 31, which teaches students useful vocabulary and pronunciation geared towards travel in a French-speaking country. No prior knowledge of either language is required for these courses.

For more information about language offerings or to register, call 301-790-2800, ext. 236, or go to www.hagerstowncc.edu/coned/areas/languages.
