HCC trip planned to visit Winterthur and Longwood Gardens

Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education is offering a one-day trip to view the Winterthur and Longwood Gardens on Wed., April 28.
Participants will view recent spring planting at Longwood Gardens before visiting the Dupont Estate at Winterthur where they will have lunch at the Garden Cafeteria and conclude the day with a tram tour through the estate gardens. A tour of the Winterthur home itself will also be included. Current exhibits on display include “Flower Power,” featuring Henry Francis du Pont’s flower arrangements and “Lost Gardens of the Brandywine Exhibition,” a pictorial exploration of
Cost is $95. Fee includes fully equipped motor coach transportation/gratuity; en-route site discussions with Denny Warrenfeltz, area floral designer and owner of Rooster Vane Gardens in Funkstown; and all entrance/tour fees. Participants are asked to purchase their own lunches.
