Kreykenbohm Lecture Series: Guest Speaker Tim Rowland

 Hagerstown Community College will present its annual Kreykenbohm lecture series on Mon., April 19, at 7 p.m., in HCC’s Kepler Theater.

The lecture series is named after Helen Kreykenbohm, a retired professor and former humanities division chair at HCC. This year’s guest speaker will be Herald-Mail columnist Tim Rowland. Rowland was hired by the Herald-Mail in 1985 and covered the Maryland General Assembly in Annapolis from 1990 through 1994 before becoming a   full-time humor columnist. He was syndicated by the Bridge News Service in New York, with his columns appearing in papers including The Philadelphia Inquirer, Toronto Star, and Fort Lauderdale Sun-Times

The lecture also coincides with HCC’s annual faculty art show. A reception for faculty artists will be held at 6 p.m. prior to the lecture. Both events are free and are open to the public. For more information, call 301-790-2800, ext. 245.
