(May 14, 2010) - Shirl Grattan was presented the 2010 Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association Community Citation Award at HCC’s recent Honors Convocation. This award confers special recognition to a 15-year graduate of HCC for volunteer service to the community.

As a member of the HCC Alumni Board of Directors, she has helped with numerous projects including the Garden Club and the annual Alumni Association Flower and Garden Show, which she has chaired and co-chaired for 14 years. She also volunteers her time for her catholic church, the Catholic Daughters, Knights of Columbus, and the Boy Scouts.
