Nine members inducted into HCC Hall of Fame

Hagerstown Community College’s Hawk Booster Club held its annual Irv Easterday Golf Tournament and Hall of Fame Banquet on Mon., June 28, at the Beaver Creek Country Club.

At the banquet, nine new members were inducted into the HCC Hall of Fame. New members included Heather Creek, of Hagerstown, who played softball from 1993-1995; Ryan Devlin, of Twin Falls, Idaho, who played baseball from 2001-2003; Tim Mason, of Hagerstown, who competed in track and field from 1998-2001; Alex McAbee, of Hagerstown, who competed in marathon from 1999-2001; Ozzie Smith-Bey, of Williamstown, N.J., who played basketball from 1992-1994; Tom Parson, of Hagerstown, who played basketball from 1971-1973; and John Webb, of Florissant, Mo., who played baseball from 1973-1974. Jack Seville, of St. Louis, Mo., was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award and Rick Toms, of Hagerstown, received the Business Person of the Year Award.
Hall of Fame inductees were each presented with a commemorative plaque highlighting their athletic and volunteer services for HCC. A copy of each plaque will hang on the wall in the lobby of the HCC Athletic, Recreation and Community Center.
