Constitution Day

Sep 14 2010 - 11:30am - 12:30pm

Hagerstown Community College will host its annual Constitution Day event on Tues., Sept. 14, beginning at 11:30 a.m., in the Student Center on HCC’s main campus.

The event will feature local author Linda Heinrich and her husband Brian. Heinrich and her husband will speak about her recently self-published book, “Jason’s Helmet,” which tells the story of her uncle, Jason Barron, who died during World War II at the age of 23.

"My son, Nick, gave me a great idea,” says Heinrich on her Web site. “He told me it would be a lower level, high interest book for students that had difficulty reading.  It lends itself to male and female students and includes family, relationships, tragedy, culture, war, and forgiveness.”

This event is free and is open to the public. For more information, contact Spring Ward at 301-790-2800, ext. 409, or e-mail stward@hagerstowncc.edu. For more information about Linda Heinrich and her book, go to www.jasonshelmet.com.
