Submitted by Deborah M. Staley on Fri, 11/06/2009 - 3:13pm
Sep 24 2010 - 8:00am - 12:00pm
This course will provide (3) Category 1 continuing education credit hours in ethics, professional conduct and issues of boundaries to satisfy Maryland license requirements. Discussion will include at what point the responsibility of the health care provider extends from treatment to a legal and ethical obligation to protect others. The Maryland Annotated Code, Supreme Court decisions and professional ethical codes mandate that health care providers have a legal and ethical obligation when a patient threatens serious injury.
