Take part in Relay for Life on April 15
Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Wed, 04/06/2011 - 4:00pm
The American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life for Washington County Colleges" will be held on Fri., April 15, beginning at 7 p.m., in the ARCC. The event will end at 7 a.m. on Sat., April 16.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people will camp out and take turns walking or running around a track. Teams are people that have signed up to participate in the event and have started fundraising. HCC students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to sign up and create teams now! Because cancer never sleeps, Relay will last through the night. At HCC's Relay for Life, there will be numerous activities including bands, food, games, prizes, ZUMBA, doorprizes, raffles, competitions, and numerous contests.
To sign up, go to www.relayforlife.org/hcc.
