Airmen of Note take the stage June 22

The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Air Force Airmen of Note as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Concert Series, on Wed., June 22, at 6:30 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

The U.S. Air Force Airmen of Note is an 18-member jazz ensemble that first began performing in 1950. One of the last touring big bands, the Airmen of Note have performed throughout the United States and abroad and have performed alongside world-renowned artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughan, Joe Williams, Nancy Wilson, and others. The band currently performs under the direction of Senior Master Sergeant Joseph Jackson.
