Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Diverstiy Celebration

HCC will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Celebration on Mon., Jan. 16, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the ARCC at HCC.
The celebration will begin with a musical performance by the Mount Moriah Baptist Church Choir and conclude with a dramatic rendition of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, performed by the Reverend Darin Mency of the Greater Campher Temple. Vicky Bullet, a highly decorated basketball player for the Univ. of Md. and member of the ’88 and ’92 U.S. Olympic teams, will be the keynote speaker. The event will also include a variety of musical and dramatic performances, as well as a special presentation on the culture of the Ivory Coast of Africa by Ambassador Daouda Diabate.
