Darkness to Light... Training and Alerts for Sexual Abuse of Children

This program will focus on instructing adults who are in frequent contact with children how to recognize, react, and respond to suspected child sexual abuse.  This course is recommended for teachers, caregivers, and adults who work in youth serving organizations. 

Topics will include:

  • Identify facts about the problem of child sexual abuse
  • Describe the types of situations in which child sexual abuse might occur
  • Explain simple, effective strategies for protecting children from sexual abuse
  • The importance of talking about the prevention of sexual abuse with children and other adults
  • The signs of sexual abuse so you that you might intervene and be able to react responsibly
