HCC graduates 20 students in dental assisting program


(Release: July 12, 2012) - Hagerstown Community College recently graduated 20 students in its dental assisting program. Graduates were honored at a special ceremony on June 28, 2012. Following remarks from Theresa Marks, HCC instructor, dental assisting/hygiene and program coordinator, attendees heard from Angela Stoops, director, health sciences, and keynote speakers Jon Pike, DDS, Associated Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, and Robert Zimmerman, DDS, Cornerstone Family Dentistry. Students also heard from three of their classmates: Myia Evans, Rachel Lee, and Joanna Pereschuk.

Graduates included Brittany Creek, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; Mary Drury of Clear Spring; Katie Rice, of Cumberland; Brandy Bollinger, Daniele Curry, Nichole Ecton, Myia Evans, Rebekah Jenkins, Mylika Keyes, Rachel Lee, Tammy Streletz, and Maegan Taylor, all of Hagerstown; Katherine Kriner, Autumn Smith, and Lauren St. Clair, of Mercersburg, Pa.; Kelsie Trumbull, of Rohrersville; Joanna Pereschuk, of Sharpsburg; Katelyn Hornbaker, of St. Thomas, Pa.; Katie Horner, of Walkersville; and Sarah Duffey, of Williamsport.
