The Continuing Education and Business Services Division at Hagerstown Community College recently held a focus group for local banking executives on the topic of professional development services needed in the banking industry.

Mary Ellen Waltemire, president, One Step Closer Coaching, facilitated the session. Discussion topics included staffing challenges, business and training services available at HCC, and general professional development needs. The session was attended by a number of representatives from area banks, as well by HCC staff and faculty in the business services area. A special follow-up session was held on Sept. 11 where banking executives were given the opportunity to discuss generational diversity, a topic of interest in the banking industry. The session was led by certified professional trainer Annette Cremo, the president of Performance Plus Training, Consulting, and Coaching, LLC in Carlisle, Pa.
