HCC recently released its annual electronic holiday card. The card was designed by Jeremy Prince, a graphic design student at HCC.
Prince has been attending HCC for the past two and a half years. He is originally from Fairmont, W.Va., but has lived in Hagerstown for the past eight years.
At the end of this semester, he will complete his associate’s degree in graphic design technology. His goal is to transfer to the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore to pursue a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and illustration. He has a love of art and exhibited seven pieces in the recent student art show at HCC.
He has been working in the field of graphic design for the past seven years, mostly doing freelance work. He recognizes the importance of having a college degree in order to maintain employment in the current economy.
Prince was nominated by HCC instructor Dave Maruszewski to design and produce HCC's annual student-designed holiday card. This is the third year that HCC has used a paper-free card to send internal and external holiday greetings.
