Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Mon, 01/14/2013 - 4:56pm
Jan 18 2013 - 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Student auditions for "An Evening of Music & Poetry" will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. in KEP-204 (Ensemble Room). The actual event will be held on Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the Robinwood Players Theater Club, the English Club, the Art Club, and the HCC Music Department, the auditions are open to all HCC students, staff, and faculty.
The club is looking for musicians to play classical music. Music can include piano and string instruments. Students should be prepared to perform a piece selected from anywhere between the Renaissance period and the Romantic period.
Poets & Poetry Lovers
An Evening of Music and Poetry will feature several poetry readings. Poetry can be from a famous author or can be an original work. Students, staff, or faculty who are interested in reading a poem at the event should email their submissions to Rachael Marion at firstname.lastname@example.org by Wed., Jan. 30. Previously published poems by well-known authors written between the early 1600s through the mid-1900s will be considered.
Students and staff who wish to read poetry selections DO NOT have to attend the auditions on Jan. 18. Only musicians are required to attend.
