The Continuing Education and Business Services Division at Hagerstown Community College will offer a two-day notary public course, “Notary Public Principles and Practices,” on April 8 and 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. each day, at HCC’s Valley Mall Center.
The course will cover the principles of notary public appointment, as well as the correct practices and procedures required to operate within Maryland notary law. Topics include the history of notary publics, definitions, responsibilities and duties, and professional organizations available for career advancement. This course is intended for those desiring to become a notary, as well as current commissioned notaries who want a better understanding of their appointment. Cost is $86.
