Campus Earth Day held April 26

HCC will hold its annual Earth Day Celebration and Campus Pride Day on Fri., April 26. The Earth Day Celebration will begin a 11:30 a.m. in front of the Career Programs Building. Students, staff, faculty, and the public are invited to attend.

Earth Day Celebration - April 26

HCC's fifth annual Earth Day Celebration will be held at the fountain in front of the Career Programs Building on Fri., April 26. The presentation will begin at 11:30 a.m. Speakers include HCC volunteers coordinator Irene Young, HCC president Dr. Guy Altieri, and a student representative from the HCC Science Club.

Following opening remarks, the HCC fountain will be turned back on with the help of children from the HCC Children's Learning Center.

Campus Pride Day - April 26

The annual Campus Pride Day will be held on Fri., April 26. Volunteers are needed to help beautify the HCC campus by weeding, mulching, and planting flowers and trees. No prior gardening experience is required.

Volunteers are asked to sign-up for one of two shifts. The first shift will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the second shift will run from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers will receive a complimentary t-shirt and a free lunch for participating. Students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to participate.
