HCC students receive MLEO scholarships

 

(Release: May 8, 2013) - Two Hagerstown Community College students recently received academic scholarships for the spring 2013 semester.

Administration of Justice majors John Aldridge and Lisa Sandlin, both of Hagerstown, received the Maryland Law Enforcement Officers Scholarship (MLEO). The MLEO scholarship is awarded by HCC faculty to eligible students working towards an associate of applied science degree in the administration of justice field.

Aldridge will graduate in May 2015 and ultimately plans to work in a Strategic Response Team (SRT) unit, formerly known as SWAT.

Sandlin will graduate from HCC in May 2013 and plans to transfer to Mount Saint Mary’s University to obtain her bachelor’s degree. She hopes to secure a job with the Maryland State Police after she graduates.
