Government Careers and Internships Seminar

Terry Davidson, recruitment outreach chief and diplomat in resident coordinator for State Department, will host a special information session on government careers and internships with the U.S. Department of State on Tues., Nov. 19, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the Career Programs Building, room 210.

The U.S. Department of State promotes freedom and democracy throughout the world, helping countries lift themselves out of poverty to become prosperous, stable and democratic states and continuously strive to find ways to maximize the impact of America’s resources.

This event is free and students, staff, faculty, and the public are invited to attend.

About Terry Davidson

Terry Davidson has worked in cultural affairs and press outreach for most of his 25-year foreign service career, serving in Mexico City, Rangoon, Bogota, Quito, Brasilia, Baku, and Washington, D.C. As diplomat in residence coordinator, he oversees 16 diplomats in residence across the United States. He also oversees the State Department's recruitment outreach efforts from Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining the Foreign Service in 1988, Davidson worked as a reporter and editor for newspapers in Boston and San Diego. He has a journalism degree from the University of Missouri and a M.S. in strategic studies from the National Defense University.
