Annual MLK Diversity Celebration held Jan. 20

Hagerstown Community College will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Celebration on Mon., Jan. 20, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the Kepler Theater at HCC.
The celebration will feature a presentation entitled “Living the Dream,” by motivational speaker Dion Jordan, and conclude with a dramatic rendition of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, performed by the Reverend Darin Mency. The event will include music and dance performances and a poetry reading by HCC students, as well as musical performances by the YMCA Young Achievers and the Washington Square United Methodist Church choir.
Students, staff, and faculty are involved in planning this event, which is free and open to the public.

Please note that no classes will be held on Jan. 20. Administrative offices will also be closed.
