(October 31, 2017)— Four Hagerstown Community College students recently won awards during the Maryland Society of Radiologic Technologists Student Essay Competition and Ted Lynch Award recognition.
In this year’s essay competition, three HCC students won the top awards. Essay winners included Kristi Lee, of Walkersville, who received first place; Rachelle Snyder, of Inwood, W.Va., who received second place; and Coleman Grubbs, of Hagerstown, who received third place.
One student from every Radiography Program in Maryland is selected as the winner of the Ted Lynch Award. This year’s winner from HCC’s radiography program was Michael Sanders, of Hagerstown. Students who are presented this award excel academically, have excellent attendance in the classroom and clinical setting, display professionalism, and serve as role models to all other students.
