(February 13, 2017) – The College for Kids program at Hagerstown Community College will celebrate its 30th anniversary this summer. The series of week-long courses covers a variety of subjects for students in elementary grades through high school. The program has been extended to seven weeks this year, starting June 19 and running through August 11.
Classes are taught by highly qualified instructors in a small-class setting with an emphasis on hands-on, interactive learning experiences. Course subjects include LEGO Robotics, Mad Scientist, Designing Your Own Computer Game, Music Theater, Shocking Fun with Electricity, Photography, Spanish and Sign Language camps, and many others.
Students meet Monday through Friday, from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. No classes are offered the week of July 4. Individual course costs vary according to section and materials needed. A newly designed website has just been unveiled, at www.hagerstowncc.edu/kids, where class schedules and other information can be found.
