(July 26, 2017) – Hagerstown Community College’s paramedic emergency services program recently received accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions.
This five-year accreditation is based on a recent peer review by the CAAHEP’s board of directors, which recognized the program’s substantial compliance with the nationally established accreditation standards.
“We are proud and grateful of the faculty, staff, administration, and the healthcare community who continue to support the Paramedic Emergency Medical Services programs at HCC,” said Health Science Division Director Kathleen J. D’Ambrisi.
HCC offers degree and certificate programs in paramedic emergency services, as well as a paramedic EMT-I to EMT-P bridge certificate. For more information, visit www.hagerstowncc.edu/academics/divisions/health-sciences/emt.
