(May 10, 2017)— The Robinwood Players Theater Club at Hagerstown Community College hosted a day of theater on Saturday, May 6, in the Kepler Center on HCC’s main campus.
The day of theater included free workshops and presentations open to HCC students and local high school juniors and seniors. Topics covered included stage combat, the audition process, Shakespeare, dance, improvisation, and voice, plus theater games and ice breakers.
Professional actor and artistic director at the Maryland Entertainment Group Sam Little and HCC alumna Courtney Buhrman joined faculty from HCC’s performing arts program, Robin Shaner, Alyssa Little, and Ben Buhrman.
The Robinwood Players Theater Club is open to HCC students interested in the performing arts. The club’s goals are to promote a better understanding of all aspects of the performing arts genre and to foster the performing arts at HCC by providing opportunities to explore, develop, create, share, and support dance, dramatic, and musical productions.
