(February 2, 2018) – The Hagerstown Community College Foundation recently awarded four $312.50 scholarships to the top four sophomore athletes with the highest GPA during the fall 2017 semester.
Scholarship recipients included Madison Clark, of Winchester, Va., for softball; Madison Knode, of Williamsport, for women’s soccer; Andrew Owens, of Smithsburg, for men’s soccer, indoor track, and outdoor track; and Tiffany Warnick, of Grantsville, for cross-country, indoor track, and outdoor track.
The Foundation Scholarship Committee awards a number of scholarships each with its own criteria and dollar amounts, in the fall and spring of every academic year, to students taking at least six credits with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Scholarships are awarded to students who show scholastic promise and are seeking a degree. To be considered, students must complete the 2016-17 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
