HCC graduates eighth class of Police Academy recruits

Hagerstown Community College recently graduated its eighth class of Police Academy recruits.

(June 26, 2017)— Hagerstown Community College recently graduated its eighth class of Police Academy recruits.

Following remarks from HCC Police Academy Director David Simonetti, HCC President Guy Altieri, Hagerstown Police Department Chief Victor V. Brito, and student speaker Officer Jesse Patterson, students were awarded certificates to commend their achievement.

The HCC Police Academy provides entry-level police training to both agency-sponsored recruits and self-sponsored students. Through the program, recruits complete all the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions (MPCTC) training class objectives as well as the coursework necessary to earn a 27-credit certificate in administration of justice from HCC.
