HCC to hold annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration

(January 5, 2017)— Hagerstown Community College will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Celebration on Monday, Jan. 16, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the Kepler Theater at HCC.

The celebration will feature keynote speaker Dr. Jason Best, from Shepherd University, and a dramatic rendition of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, performed by the Reverend Darin Mency. The event will include music and dance performances and poetry readings by HCC students. Students, staff, and faculty are involved in planning this event, which is free and open to the public.
