(November 28, 2017) – As officials at Hagerstown Community College begin the search process for the next college president, three one-hour open forums will be held on Tuesday, December 5, at 10 a.m., 1 p.m, and 5 p.m., in room 213 in the Career Programs Building.
These public forums will be conducted by the leadership team from the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) and are intended to provide an opportunity for HCC faculty and staff, as well as the general public, to participate in discussions related to the qualities, characteristics, and qualifications desired in the next president, as well as the opportunities and challenges facing HCC in the years to come. The information gathered at these sessions will be used to help develop the Presidential Profile that will guide the search process.
Current HCC President Guy Altieri will retire on December 31. Vice President David Warner will serve as the interim president, beginning January 1, until a replacement is named, later in 2018.
If you are unable to attend the open forum and wish to share your thoughts regarding what information you believe should be included in the Presidential Profile, email Julie Golder, J.D., at email@example.com, by noon on Tuesday, December 5.
