(March 7, 2019) – The Behavioral Intervention/Care Team (BIT) at Hagerstown Community College has partnered with the Wells House, Inc. to host an “Artists Journey of Recovery,” art contest and exhibition. Artwork must be submitted by Friday, March 22, and will be on display in the Student Center on HCC’s main campus during the month of April. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, April 9 at 1 p.m., in the Student Center.
The contest is open to anyone in recovery or who has been impacted by substance use disorder. The artwork must be a reflection of your journey through personal recovery and include a short summary of what the artwork represents to you. Additionally, all artwork must be ready to hang and any artwork larger than 24” by 36” will need prior approval. Limit of three submissions per artist. This contest is free and open to the public. All artwork must be dropped off to Angie Auldridge, prior to March 22, in the HCC Student Center, room 114, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information or other drop-off arrangements, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
