(May 26, 2017) –Ashlyn Rebok has been named head volleyball coach for the 2017-18 academic year at Hagerstown Community College.
“Combining history, experience, and charisma within Hagerstown volleyball will be Coach Ashlyn’s focus,” said HCC Athletic Director Robert Rohan. “She and the Lady Hawks will strive to create dominance in the region, along with adding to the community culture of athletes on campus.”
A HCC alumna, Rebok helped the Lady Hawks to two consecutive Region XX titles and trips to the NJCAA Division II National Championships in 2009 and 2010. Following her time at HCC, she transferred to University of North Carolina at Pembroke, setting for the Lady Braves, while earning a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education. Most recently, Rebok received a master’s degree in intercollegiate athletic administration from Western Kentucky University.
Rebok spent the last three seasons serving as assistant juniors director and tournament director at the Northern Virginia Volleyball Association (NVVA) in Sterling, Va. She also served as the associate director for the Chambersburg Area Volleyball Express (CAVE) Club in Chambersburg, Pa.
“I believe a balance between hard work and fun on the court creates leadership within the athletes,” said Rebok. “I look forward to collaborating with a great group of players and staff at the origin of where my journey began.”
