(May 1, 2019) – Hagerstown Community College is offering a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Installer class starting on May 20, provided under a grant from the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. The grant funding is part of the state’s EARN green industry funding, which targets training and upskilling for individuals in the alternative energy sector.
The Solar PV Installer class meets criteria established by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practioners. It will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, through July 8, in the college’s new Energy and Trades Training Center. Students completing the class will be qualified to take the exam for the NABCEP PV Associate credential.
Individuals with backgrounds in the electrical or solar field can apply for EARN green industry grant funding by completing the online application at www.hagerstowncc.edu/solar.
