(September 25, 2017) – The Alumni Association at Hagerstown Community College recently made a $25,000 donation to HCC’s Promise Pathway Program.
Similar to other promise programs across the country, this initiative is designed to address the financial barriers for high school students who have the academic readiness and commitment to succeed in college, but lack all the necessary financial resources to do so, even if they qualify for federal financial aid. This program will be funded through current resources and funds to be raised by the HCC Foundation, Inc. and HCC.
“Our alumni association board of directors is excited to kick off the Promise Pathway Program at HCC with this donation and to be in on the ground floor of a forward-thinking initiative that will be a positive educational and economic influence in our community,” said Linda Reid, HCC alumni association president.
