HCC recognizes outstanding adjunct faculty

(May 30, 2019) – Hagerstown Community College recently recognized five of its outstanding adjunct faculty members for 2018.

Doug Courter, who has been an adjunct instructor for the Technology and Computer Studies Division for sixteen years, has been recognized as the 2018 Outstanding Adjunct Faculty member of the year. Courter’s commitment to curriculum and student success makes him a valuable team member for the Technology and Computer Studies Division.

Division recipients included Jason Burhman, who has been an adjunct faculty member and theater technician for 13 years; Ashley Dolson, who has been an adjunct instructor for in the Nursing Program for four years; Jason Stauch, who has taught sociology at Clear Spring High School as part of HCC’s ESSENCE Program for five years; and Larry Wadel, who has taught mathematics as an adjunct instructor for 14 years.
