Human trafficking education summit to be held at HCC

(January 17, 2020) – The Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Hagerstown Community College and the Washington County Human Trafficking Collaborative will offer a free educational summit, “Engaging Against Exploitation,” on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Behavioral Sciences and Humanities Building on HCC’s main campus.

This event will provide information on the prevention of human trafficking and exploitation of the community’s vulnerable youth and adults. The program will include a presentation by keynote speaker Natasha Guynes, from Her Resiliency Center, as well as additional guest speakers who will discuss federal, state, and local response to this issue. Information will be available from local community resource providers.
