HCC and the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) recently signed an educational partnership agreement to offer research opportunities and hands-on training to students studying cybersecurity in HCC.
Artwork by adjunct instructor and artist Ben McAfee will be on display from May 15 through June 18, 2015, at the Art Association of Harrisburg's 87th Annual International Juried Exhibition.
HCC's Student Activities Office will host a free workshop series, “Life After HCC,” every week through the month of April. All workshops are 45 minutes in length and are open to all HCC students.
Benita Keller, a local photographer and adjunct instructor at HCC, will exhibit work at the Washington County Arts Council from March 26 through April 28. Opening reception is March 18, from 2 to 4 p.m.
HCC's College Advancement Office will hold its first annual Corn Hole Tournament on Saturday, April 25, at 12 p.m., in the ARCC. Sponsored by HCC's Hawk Athletic Booster Club, this double elimination tournament features the opportunity to win cash prizes. Cost is $50 per team. Fee includes two beer tickets. Teams can begin registering at 10:30 a.m.
Three students from adjunct instructor Audra Haddock-Martenot's GDT-220 Video Production course are exhibiting films in this week's Maryland Maryland International Film Festival-Hagerstown (MDIFF). MDIFF will be held from Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28, at several locations in Hagerstown.
Microsoft Developer Yung Chou will speak at HCC on Thursday, March 26, at 1 p.m., in the STEM Building, room 109. This event is free and is open to students, staff, and faculty.
The Learning Support Center (LSC) will host a free workshop series on citing sources from March 24 to March 27 in the Learning Support Center. Citing Sources and Avoiding Plagiarism will help students learn how to integrate sources, format in-text citations and footnotes, and create a bibliography page for a variety of writing styles.
HCC's SGA will hold a special concert to celebrate Irish American Heritage Month on Tuesday, March 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Student Center lounge. Event includes free lunch. Open to students, staff, and faculty.
Students in HCC’s NOW and Spectrum Clubs will co-sponsor “V-Day: One Billion Rising Revolution,” on Thursday, March 26, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the Student Center. This event is free and is open to the public.
