The Student Activities office will host the annual end-of-semester Spring Fling celebration, which is a week of activities on campus from April 20 through 25. All events are free.
On Wednesday, the review team chair reported that HCC met all of the 14 standards of excellence identified by Middle States. Middle States accreditation designation allows HCC to receive federal program grants and financial aid for its students, and it enhances the transfer of college credits to other accredited institutions.
Hagerstown Community College will hold its annual spring student art exhibit from Monday, April 27, through Tuesday, May 5, in the Kepler Center. The art exhibit will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A group of students in the Human Services Program at Hagerstown Community College has organized a weeklong campaign to raise awareness about child abuse and prevention, beginning April 20.
Show times are 8 p.m. on April 23, 24, and 25 in the Kepler Theater. A special matinee performance will be held on April 26 at 2:30 p.m. General admission is $10, but HCC students, staff, and faculty can attend for free.
From April 12 to 15, a seven-member review team will be on campus to conduct a review of HCC. Team members will be wearing yellow name badges during their visit.

Hagerstown Community College will conduct its annual Critical Response Emergency Assessment Scenario (CREAS) training event on Saturday, April 18, beginning at 8 a.m., on HCC’s main campus.
The annual student casting call contest will be held from April 6 through April 10 and is open to all currently enrolled students. Participants are automatically entered in a drawing to win an Amazon gift card and a select group of students will be featured in the college's fall marketing campaign.
HCC and the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) recently signed an educational partnership agreement to offer research opportunities and hands-on training to students studying cybersecurity in HCC.
