  • HCC Police Academy accepting applications

    (Release: November 7, 2014) – Applications are now being accepted for the next class of the Hagerstown Community College Police Academy. The class starts January 12 and runs through June 2015. The application deadline is December 12, 2014.

  • Coffee Break Photo Contest - Nov. 10-14

    The 2014 Coffee Break Photo Contest is open to all currently enrolled HCC students. First 25 entries win two coupons for free coffee from the Hilltop Grill. Grand prize winner gets two free Regal movie tickets.

  • S-STEM Scholarship Deadline - Nov. 15

    Deadline to apply for the S-STEM Scholarship for the spring 2015 semester is November 15, 2014. This scholarship is open to students majoring in a STEM-based program.

  • HCC: Raising the Bar on Academic Support

    Perched atop the hill on Student Circle at Hagerstown Community College is the Learning Support Center (LSC), an unassuming, one-story building that belies the hum of activity within its walls. Upon entering the LSC, one is greeted with a vast openness that includes more than 18,600 square feet of learning space filled with students, tutors, and LSC staff.

  • Zombie Run - Nov. 13

    The Annual HCC Zombie Run, originally scheduled for Oct. 30, has been rescheduled for Thursday, Nov. 13, at 5:45 p.m., outside the Student Center. Prizes for first, second, and third place runners and first, second, and third place zombie costumes. This is a fun run through campus. Registration fee: one canned food item.

  • HCC students headed to NASA workshop

    (Release: October 30, 2014) – Four students from Hagerstown Community College have been selected to participate in the National Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) onsite workshop at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, in November. These students are part of a group of 40 students from the U.S.

  • HCC Middle College info sessions to be held

    (Release: October 28, 2014) – Program information sessions for the STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math, medical) Technical Middle College at Hagerstown Community College will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 12, and Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the STEM Building, room 308.

  • Student Events on Campus - Oct. 27-31

    During the week of October 27-31, a variety of events will be held on the HCC campus for students. All events are free and open to current students.

    A transfer advisor from Shippensburg University will be on campus to meet with interested students from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Valley Eatery (upper level, Career Programs Building). No appointment necessary.

  • A Cowboy Christmas Dinner and Show

    Join HCC's Alumni Association for "A Cowboy Christmas Dinner and Show" on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at Antietam Recreation in Hagerstown. Beginning at 6:00 pm: enjoy activities including Old-time Photos (additional cost), Animal Stable, Wagon Ride, Marshmallow Roasting, Horse Rides, and visiting the Gift Shop.

  • Book Buyback

    Book Buyback for the fall semester will be held from Monday, Dec. 8, through Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the HCC Campus Store. Hours vary by day. Please note that only books purchased through the HCC Campus Store may be sold back during the buyback period.
