  • HCC Dental Hygiene Program receives accreditation

    The Dental Hygiene Program at Hagerstown Community College, which started in the fall of 2014, is now accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). CODA is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.

  • Flower & Garden Show - March 14-15

    HCC's Alumni Association will hold its 21st Annual Flower & Garden Show on Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the ARCC.

  • Spring Transfer Fair - March 30

    The annual Spring Transfer Fair, originally scheduled for March 5, has been rescheduled for Monday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Career Programs Building, rooms 211-213. Over 35 regional four-year colleges and universities will be in attendance. This event is free and is open to all HCC students.

  • LSC Writing Workshops - March 3-6

    The Learning Support Center (LSC) will host a free workshop series on citing sources from March 3 to March 6 in the Learning Support Center. Citing Sources and Avoiding Plagiarism will help students learn how to integrate sources, format in-text citations and footnotes, and create a bibliography page for a variety of writing styles.

  • Spring Break - March 8-14

    Spring Break will be held for faculty and students from March 8 through March 14, 2015. No classes will be held during that time. The entire campus will be closed on March 13.

  • New art exhibit on display at HCC through April 2

    (Release: March 2, 2015) – A new exhibit featuring the work of artist and adjunct faculty member Rob Rock will be on display from March 5 through April 2 in the Kepler Center on HCC’s main campus.

  • New format for Academic Advising begins March 2

    HCC's academic advising office is moving to a new hybrid appointment/walk-in model beginning on Monday, March 2, 2015. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays will be appointment days and Mondays and Thursdays will be walk-in days.

  • Robinwood Players Variety Show - March 7

    HCC's Robinwood Players Theater Club will host a variety show on Saturday, March 7, beginning at 7 p.m., in the Kepler Theater. General admission is $10. Open to the public.

  • College for Kids Open House - March 7

    The open house for HCC’s College for Kids program, originally scheduled for Feb. 21, has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at HCC’s Valley Mall Center.


  • Auditions for "The Addams Family"

    The Robinwood Players will be holding auditions for "The Addams Family" on Monday, May 11, at 6 p.m. in the Ensemble Room of the Kepler Theater (KEP-204). Casting includes six male and four female leads and male and female dancers, some with dialogue. Show rehearsals will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 p.m to 8:15 p.m. The showtimes will be July 31 and August 1 at 8 p.m.

    A transfer advisor from Morgan State University will be on campus to meet with interested students from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Valley Eatery (upper level, Career Programs Building). No appointment necessary.
