  • HCC awards Pet Grooming Certificates

    The Continuing Education Division at Hagerstown Community College recently awarded Pet Grooming Certificates to 10 individuals who completed the 115-hour program. HCC’s Pet Grooming Program is a combination of classroom and hands-on training, conducted in a licensed commercial grooming facility. 

  • HCC Police Department sponsors two families for Christmas

    Hagerstown Community College’s Campus Police Department sponsored two HCC student families this year for Christmas. Chief Henry Gautney and his department raised over $175 for groceries, enough to purchase a Christmas meal for two chosen families. The two families wish to remain anonymous.

  • HCC offering dance program

    Hagerstown Community College’s Dance Program recently received approval from the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC). HCC’s Dance Program offers students the opportunity to develop foundational skills in concert dance technique, performance, improvisation, composition, and audition skills necessary for them to succeed in upper division dance courses. 

  • HCC awards Veterinary Assistant Certificates

    The Continuing Education Division at Hagerstown Community College recently awarded Veterinary Assistant Certificates to five individuals who completed the 11-month program.  This is the 13th consecutive Veterinary Assistant course taught by instructor, Kelly Tracey. 

  • HCC awards management certificates

    The Continuing Education Division at Hagerstown Community College recently awarded the American Association of Management Certificate for General Management and Human Relations to several students who completed the seven-course, 49-hour program at the HCC Valley Mall Center. 

  • Free GED and ESL classes starting in February

    Hagerstown Community College’s Adult Basic Education Program will be offering free GED and ESL classes beginning February 1, 2016. For more information or to register, contact the Adult Basic Education office at 240-500-2313

  • Final grades to be posted December 16

    The final grades for the 2015 fall semester will be posted in WebAdvisor on Wednesday, December 16. To view final grades, students must sign in to WebAdvisor. Sign in to WebAdvisor here

  • Two HCC students nominated for All-USA Academic Team

    Two Hagerstown Community College students were recently nominated as part of the All-USA/Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team, a program that annually recognizes exceptional students at the nation’s community colleges. This year’s HCC nominees are Janai Heise and Michael Tomlin, both of Hagerstown. 

  • Sign up by Jan. 1 to receive an electronic IRS tax form 1098-T

    Hagerstown Community College files the IRS tax form 1098-T for each student they enroll and for whom a reportable transaction is made. Federal regulation allows those eligible to receive the form 1098-T in an electronic format, instead of through the mail. In order to exercise this option, eligible recipients must provide consent to receive the form in an electronic format, through WebAdvisor.

  • FAFSA Frenzy

    HCC's Financial Aid department will be offering free workshops in the month of February to assist WCPS graduates in completing their FAFSA forms. Most FAFSA forms can be completed in thirty minutes. All WCPS Seniors who complete their FAFSA by March 1, 2016 can enter a drawing to win a $500 scholarship.

  • Don’t Wear Flip Flops to a Job Fair Workshop

    This Career Links workshop will be held in the HCC Student Center, Skills Lab (Room 170), from 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. and is open to all HCC students and alumni.

  • UMUC Transfer Advisor Visit

    A transfer advisor from University of Maryland – University College will be on campus to meet with interested students from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Center lobby.
