  • HCC’s honor society students recognized at regional conference

    HCC’s chapter was recognized for receiving the third highest score in the region on the College Project, which included several activities that HCC’s PTK students conducted during the week of HCC’s 70th anniversary. The chapter continued to maintain its five-star designation and earned 18 free graduation stoles through the new Reach Rewards Program.

  • HCC to host Engineering Career Exploration on April 6

    Faculty from HCC’s engineering program will provide information about exciting career opportunities in the engineering industry. The event will feature guest speaker, Stefan Eshleman, senior design engineer for JLG Industries, Inc. There will be a showing of Greg MacGillivray’s documentary, “Dream Big: Engineering our World.” 

  • HCC to offer women’s soccer team this fall

    The Athletic Department at Hagerstown Community College will offer a women’s soccer team starting this fall on campus. The team will play under the direction of Coach Clifton Williams who was named HCC’s first head women’s soccer coach in February 2017.

  • HCC art students’ work to be featured at Washington County Arts Council

    Students in Janet Salter’s portraiture and figure drawing classes at Hagerstown Community College will feature their works at the Washington County Arts Council, in an upcoming show entitled, “Body and Soul.” The show will open with a reception on March 30, from 5 to 7 p.m., and run through May 2. 

  • Summer Job and Internship Fair on March 29 at HCC

    The Internship and Job Services Department at Hagerstown Community College will host its annual Summer Job and Internship Fair on Wednesday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Student Center. 

  • HCC students to perform “Oedipus & Antigone”

    Students from Hagerstown Community College’s Elements of Dramatic Production course will perform Sophocles’ “Oedipus & Antigone,” from Friday, March 24, through Sunday, March 26, in the Kepler Center Blackbox Theater on HCC’s main campus. 

  • FAFSA tax information for students

    The Student Financial Aid Office at Hagerstown Community College would like to make students aware of an issue with the U.S. Department of Education Federal Student Aid FAFSA process. The IRS Data Retrieval Tool will be unavailable for several weeks. Students completing the FAFSA can manually input tax information. (Note: The 2017-18 FAFSA requires 2015 tax info, not 2016.)

  • Police Academy now accepting applications

     Applications are now being accepted for the next class of the Hagerstown Community College Police Academy. This class starts July 3, 2017 and runs through December 15. The application deadline is May 15, 2017.
