  • Health Department to host Narcan trainings at HCC

    The Washington County Health Department will host free Narcan trainings on Monday, July 16, at 10 a.m., and Monday, August 13, at 12 p.m. in HCC’s Student Center, room 170. If you are concerned that a loved one is at risk for overdosing on heroin or a prescription pain medication, this training is for you. 

  • Seats still available in fall portraiture class

    Hagerstown Community College will offer a portraiture class on Wednesday afternoons, from 1 to 4:35 p.m., beginning August 30, in the Kepler Center. The fall portraiture class is a three-credit, upper-level class for students with basic drawing skills who wish to broaden their ability to create strong visual images. 

  • U.S. Navy Cruisers to perform July 15 at HCC

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Cruisers as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Concert Series, on Sunday, July 15, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

  • Robinwood Players to perform “Spamalot”

    Hagerstown Community College’s Robinwood Players will present Monty Python’s Tony Award-winning musical, “Spamalot,” on August 3, 4, and 5, in the Kepler Theater on HCC’s main campus. Show times are 8 p.m. on Friday, August 3 and Saturday, August 4, with a matinee performance on Sunday, August 5 at 2:30 p.m. To purchase tickets online, visit

  • HCC to offer hybrid EMT-I to Paramedic Certificate this fall

    HCC is offering a hybrid Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate (EMT-I) to Paramedic Bridge Certificate this fall. The program will allow each student to become a National Registry-Certified Paramedic in two semesters while completing 90 percent of course work online. Classes begin on August 28. 

  • HCC Alumni Association to host cruise preview

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host a free cruise preview meeting on Saturday, July 21, at 10 a.m., in the Career Programs Building, room 125, on HCC’s main campus, for the upcoming 2019 Alumni & Friends Cruise. 

  • HCC students complete job training

    During the 2017-18 academic year, 34 students from Hagerstown Community College completed internships, gaining job training at local businesses. Students from 13 different majors completed a total of 5,040 hours. Through the Internship and Job Services Office at HCC, students were placed at 27 different sites within the community, based on their major and skill sets.
