  • New Fee for Transcripts

    HCC recently updated its system and will now be sending transcripts electronically. Beginning July 1, 2014, there will be a $5 fee per transcript.

  • HCC graduates second class of Police Academy recruits

    Hagerstown Community College recently graduated its second class of Police Academy recruits. Following remarks from HCC Police Academy Director David Simonetti, HCC President Guy Altieri, Hagerstown Police Department Chief Mark Holtzman, Washington County Sheriff Douglas Mullendore, and student speaker Jeremy Ziegler, students were awarded certificates to commend their achievement.

  • 2014 Nora Roberts Writing Institute - Aug. 8-10

    HCC will hold its Second Annual Nora Roberts Writing Institute (NRWI) from Aug. 8-10. NRWI is a three-day summer writing retreat for aspiring fiction writers and includes a two-day Young Writers Institute for teen writers between the ages of 13-19.

  • 229th Army Band to perform June 29 at HCC

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the 229th Army Band as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

  • Maryland Defense Force Band to perform June 22 at HCC

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the Maryland Defense Force Band as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Concert Series, on Sunday, June 22, 2014, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

  • STEMM Summer Bridge Program - July 7-18

    HCC is offering a free Summer Bridge Program for students in eighth, ninth, and tenth grades who are interested in STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math, and medical) careers.

  • HCC inducts new members into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

    Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the national honor society at Hagerstown Community College, recently inducted 129 new members. To be eligible for PTK, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and must have completed 12 credit hours of college-level work at HCC as a full-time student, or 24 credit hours of college-level work at HCC as a part-time student.
