The COMPASS assessments are a series of untimed, computer-adaptive tests in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics which are designed to select a range of questions that is appropriate for the test taker’s skill level.
COMPASS Reading Assessment
You will be reading two or more passages and answering several multiple choice questions about each passage.
COMPASS Mathematics Assessment
You will be given scratch paper, a calculator, and pencils to work out multiple choice problems for this test.
For more information on COMPASS placement testing, please refer to the Academic Skills Assessment brochure.
