HCC inducts new members into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the national honor society at Hagerstown Community College, recently inducted 129 new members. To be eligible for PTK, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and must have completed 12 credit hours of college-level work at HCC as a full-time student, or 24 credit hours of college-level work at HCC as a part-time student.  

HCC honor society wins award at regional conference

(April 10, 2014) - Hagerstown Community College’s Pi Theta chapter was recently recognized as a Gold Chapter at the 27th Annual Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Regional Convention in Galloway Township, N.J. The Gold Chapter distinction is earned through the completion of service learning projects intended to aid both the college community, as well as community members in the surrounding area.

HCC’s Phi Theta Kappa named Five Star Chapter


(Release: July 31, 2012) - The Pi Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Hagerstown Community College recently received special recognition for fulfilling all requirements to be named a “Five Star Chapter.” This distinction came during the regional convention of the Middle States Region which encompasses Md., Pa., N.J., Del., and Washington, D.C.
