Red Light Green Light Dance held Feb. 11

Short Title: 
Student Dance 2011

The SGA is sponsoring a Red Light Green Light Dance on Fri., Feb. 11, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the Student Center. Wear red if you're taken, wear green if you're not, and wear yellow if it's complicated. Free for students.

Student Music Night

The SGA is sponsoring a free student music night from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Student Center. Sing Karaoke or play Dance Dance Revolution and Rock Band. Snacks and door prizes will be provided. Get the semester off to a ROCKIN' start with the SGA!

Hoop It Up! Pep Rally

The SGA would like to invite you to “HOOP IT UP!” on the hill with the Men and Women’s Hawk basketball teams on Wed., Dec. 1. The pep rally will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Center. Dress in green and white, meet the players, have some free lunch, enjoy performances by the HCC Cheer Squad and HCC Step Team, and help the coaches get everyone psyched up for the evening games. The women play at 6 p.m. and the men play at 8 p.m. Both games will be held in the ARCC.

HCC Annual Holiday Dinner and Carols

Holiday Dinner and Carols 2010

The SGA will once again sponsor HCC's Annual Holiday Dinner and Carols from Around the World on Fri., Dec. 17. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and carols will be sung from 7 to 8 p.m. Musician Mark Rust will perform.

This event is free for students, staff, and their families but dinner is limited to the 100 attendees. Make your reservations early by contacting Student Activities Coordinator Heather Barnhart at

“Despicable Me,” starring the voice talents of Steve Carell, Jason Segal, Russell Brand, and Julie Andrews, will be shown at 7 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 2 and Fri., Dec. 3, and again at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 4. All shows will be held in the Student Center on HCC’s main campus. Children and adults are encouraged to wear their pajamas and bring pillows and blankets to watch the movie.
