Scholarships

A number of scholarships are available to students who show scholastic promise and financial need. The funds for these scholarships are provided by civic-minded persons and organizations as a means of extending the opportunity for a college education. Most scholarships are awarded for a one-year period. Types of scholarships are listed below.

• Community Scholarships [1] - Local community organizations have scholarships available.

• State Scholarships [2] - The Maryland Higher Education Commission has scholarships available that are renewable every year.

• HCC Scholarships [3] - Hagerstown Community College has both need and merit based scholarships available to students who qualify.
