Hagerstown Community College understands that due to busy schedules students find it difficult to attend classes on campus or may need to take a course that may not be offered at a convenient time.
Online courses allow students the flexibility of deciding the time and place of course delivery. When taking an online course there are many factors involved to ensure a successful experience. Students must have basic computer skills, access to a computer with an Internet connection, and an e-mail address. Each course will also have a list of system and software requirements. Students may need to come to campus for scheduled meetings and/or exams. Online courses demand that students be able to learn and work independently and be able to meet deadlines. Check WebAdvisor for current course offerings.
A hybrid course is a blend of face-to-face instruction with online learning. In a hybrid course, a significant part of the course learning is online and as a result, the amount of classroom seat-time is reduced.
Most Online and Hybrid courses may be accessed in Moodle .
