Hagerstown Community College understands that due to busy schedules students find it difficult to attend classes on campus or may need to take a course that may not be offered at a convenient time.
Online Courses
Online courses allow students the flexibility of deciding the time and place of course delivery. When taking an online course there are many factors involved to ensure a successful experience. Students must have basic computer skills, access to a computer with an Internet connection, and an e-mail address. Each course will also have a list of system and software requirements. Students may need to come to campus for scheduled meetings and/or exams. Online courses demand that students be able to learn and work independently and be able to meet deadlines. Check WebAdvisor [1] for current course offerings.
Hybrid Courses
A hybrid course is a blend of face-to-face instruction with online learning. In a hybrid course, a significant part of the course learning is online and as a result, the amount of classroom seat-time is reduced.
Most Online and Hybrid courses may be accessed in Moodle [2].
